On 11 September, in the kiwifruit processing area of the Jingdong Yulong Cloud Warehouse - Shaanxi Yang’s Agricultural Development Co., Ltd, baskets of fresh kiwifruit were quickly “grouped” by the intelligent sorting line, and then packaged and shipped to all parts of the country. The company is located in the SongBing Village of Louguan Town, Zhouzhi County, Xi’an province, central part of China.

Before harvest season, the company has invested 7 million yuan to built Zhouzhi's first six-line kiwifruit post-harvest intelligent sorting line, which boasts a daily sorting capacity of more than 150,000 kilograms.

This intelligent sorting line can achieve achieve full automation in fruit input, transmission and package, quickly identifying every kiwifruit fruit with 360 degrees rotation to mark blemish. Sorting the fruit according to the size, weight, colour, shape, sugar, which can improve the efficiency of the sorting, and ensure the high quality of kiwifruit selling in the market.

By now, in Zhouzhi county, the kiwifruit planting area has reached 432,000 acres, and 2680 kiwifruit storage has been built, with an annual storage capacity of 350,000 tonnes; there are 26 enterprises engaged in deep processing  kiwifruit, with an annual processing capacity of 150,000 tonnes; in addition, 26 packaging enterprises, 6 provincial leading enterprises with full industry chain, 12 municipal leading enterprises, and 13 standardized modern agricultural industrial parks were established in this county; logistics industry also thrives in Zhouzhi; the region has 17 logistics information service departments, founding and operating two Jingdong cloud warehouse, 32 Tmall Premium Service Station; Cainiao Logistics and more than 20 logistics and express enterprises such as Yuantong, Zhongtong, Yunda, Shentong have opened their branches in Zhouzhi county.

The development of the kiwifruit industrial chain has improved people’s income of this area. The per capita annual income of the area has exceeded 16,000 yuan, and the total output value of kiwifruit reaches 6 billion yuan.
